AEROJET GREEN ENERGY
The AEROJET GREEN ENERGY system is a prototype of a photovoltaic glazed module for use as an enclosure for roofs and canopies.
The modules are made up of photovoltaic glass and a series of components that allow the glass to be fixed to the substructure (omega profiles, EPDM profiles, retention elements, screws, etc.) and its correct functioning (drainage, sealing, etc.).
The glasses have dimensions of 1863 x 1970 x 19 mm and are composed of 2 glasses and photovoltaic cells encapsulated in intermediate EVA. The photovoltaic glasses rest along their entire perimeter on a substructure using an omega profile with EPDM on top. This omega profile is fixed to the substructure with self-drilling screws. On the upper face of the glass in this perimeter, some pieces are placed screwed to the omega profile that ensures the fixation of the glass.
The support substructure of these modules will be made up of tubular steel profiles, uprights in the direction of the slope and perpendicular crossbars. The minimum slope will be 5º, the system having been evaluated for slopes between 5 and 7º, and higher slopes may be adopted after study.
