ALU GLASS RAILING glass balustrades are made of laminated tempered glass with a length between 0.5 and 1.5 m, usual height 1.1 m (maximum height 1.2 m). The base of the railing is an extruded aluminium profile with a U-section, in which the glass is embedded. The glass is supported discontinuously on 7 cm EPDM wedges with 25 cm spacing between axes.

This profile is fixed to a suitable support, normally concrete, by means of high performance anchors, on the lower part of the profile, with a maximum distance between axes of 200 mm when the railing is for public use (EVA type) or 400 mm when it is for private use (PVB type).

Its intended use is as a protective barrier against falls at different levels on stairs, ramps, walkways, balconies, etc., whether in public or private spaces. Its use in areas of large crowds, such as sports stadiums, has not been assessed.
