“B-202D and B-202C” kits, composed by subframe and fixings for fastening cladding and external wall elements, are fixed to the external wall of new or existing buildings (retrofit). An insulation layer is usually fixed on the external wall.

According to the EAD 090034-00-0404: Kit composed by subframe and fixings for fastening cladding and external wall elements, “B-202D” kit is classified as type 3 and “B-202C” kit as type 4.

“B-202D and B-202C” kits are non-load-bearing construction elements. They do not contribute to the stability of the structure on which are installed, neither to ensure the airtightness of the building structure, but they can contribute to durability of the works by providing enhanced protection from the effect of weathering.
